Project underway - cabbies we need you!

"Sherbet Dab" is a new oral history project exploring the history of the London cabbie.

With funding from the Heritage Lottery and Unite, arts and education charity digital:works is working with two London primary schools, the London Transport Museum, Unite and cabbies themselves to uncover the history and stories from the lives of cabbies. We will explore the history of the taxi from the perspective of the people who have been driving them for hundreds of years but with particular emphasis on those driving today, both retired and still driving.

We are looking forward to meeting lots of cabbies for the children to meet and interview so please get in touch to find out more.

The London school children involved with the project will be in charge of this project so watch this space for updates, diaries and photos from September 2017.
Meanwhile, please see our project website for more information.
